Scared of flying and I’ve been prescribed Xanax?

I’ve been prescribed 1mg xanax pills for a general anxiety disorder and the doc said take one if I ever feel like I’m gonna have a panic attack. I’ve never taken one, but I’ve had the pack for a few months. What will taking one do to me? Anyone taken Xanax 1mg on a plane? I’m due to fly in 10 weeks, would it work ok for the flight?

I would definitely take the Xanax with you and take 1mg 30 minutes before you get on the plane. One nice thing about xanax is that it will really relax you but not make you sedated or sleepy. You will just feel peaceful.

If you don’t mind taking drugs, then there should be no reason why you shouldn’t take the xanax for your flight. It will help, just don’t abuse it.
Well some people like myself take it to sleep, because it’s that sedating, so it may make you sleepy. It might just calm you down. Either way it should help but you might feel sedated for awhile.
